Hamilton Class of 2015 Hopefuls

Accepted with a very generous financial aid package!

Accepted! :DDD

Accepted! :)

i wish i had gotten generous financial aid :(

that hamilton college FA evaluation form probably made my situation look better and therefore they didnt give me any $$…

i’m still hoping its a mistake…

i got deferred from ED1, then rejected. It’s rly sad.
anw, congrats accepted guys :)

For those of you talking about FA, I had a question. Basically my D’s packet directly reflected what the web site said it would do to meet 100% financial need: They take the EFC, add a few thousand that the kid should be able to contribute and then give you the rest in scholarship/grant, minus a few thousand for loan and work study. So just out of curiosity for those you you who felt their package was either more generous or less generous than that, was the aid offered calculated differently than what I describe above (which is not only how Hamilton said they would do it, but nearly every LAC I looked at)? Thanks.

I got in with the “test-flexible” option! I sent 3 AP scores instead of SATs

has anyone gotten their packet in the mail yet, for those of you who were accepted?
they said they sent it out on friday so i should get it today…

I got my packet in the mail today (3/28), but I live in Connecticut, so I’m not all that far from them. :)

i got mine today as well, nevermind! hahah

Waitlisted.
Congratulations to everybody who got in, though!

Waitlisted. -_- I kind of just applied on a whim, so no hard feelings. But we still have a chance fellow waitlistees, however slight it may be!

does anyone think i would be able to bargain for money if i spoke to the financial aid office? can you bargain if you got none and they said you dont qualify?

I doubt you’ll be able to get anything. I tried calling and basically they just said that I don’t qualify for any money so they cannot give me anything.

I’m still really hoping to attend though.

i see. well my parents set up an appt with an officer on campus so we’ll see how things turn out
