hamilton college -low gpa worth a shot?

2.1 gpa (messed up badly fresh/soph, great junior/senior grades)
rowing 2 years varsity club
great essay</p>

<p>its free to apply but is it even worth a shot? i play to go to a state school (umass) and then apply to some good colleges as a transfer if i have a solid gpa</p>

the acceptance rate is 30%, and the 50% avg SAT score is 1375,
so it could be a reach for you.
but you never know, you can apply if you really want to go.</p>

<p>Try, If you don’t get in you could always apply somewhere else. Your SAT is kind of low…but give it a shot. </p>

<p>Apply at UMASS schools, they’re decent and you can always transfer out.</p>

<p>well hamilton is a top teir LAC…its free to apply but since im planning on transfering there, should i give it a shot anyways?</p>

<p>try! whats the worse they can say ;)? I applied to MIT and the stats are not in my favor but what the hell, why not? who knows, what if the admission officer is having an off day with me and lets me in ;)!</p>
