This is a thread for all of those waitlisted at Hamilton. Please share your thoughts, whether or not you will accept a position on the waitlist, and so on.
Being wait listed has to be the most frustrating thing ever, it’s like being stuck in constant college limbo. I have already confirmed for the University of Florida but if I had the chance I would switch to Hamilton in a heartbeat.
I’ve already enrolled into another college, but Hamilton is still my top choice. Got deferred from ed2 and now wait listed. I can’t wait till they send the decisions
Has any (international) student received a personal email concerning the waitlist?
GUYS THEY CALLED ME!!! A guy who worked in admissions called me on Friday but I wasn’t there to answer. My mom wrote down the number but she misplaced a 1 with a 0, so when I returned the call I was very confused. Today, they called again. The guy asked me if I was still considering Hamilton as an option and I told them that I would readily drop any school for Hamilton. Right after that he congratulated me on my acceptance to Hamilton College. I am so elated and happy right now!!! Being wait listed was very tough so good luck to you guys out there! I hope you receive the good news just like I have.
@tanoodle I also got accepted today in the same way. I was sosoos exhilarated! An hour later I received my financial aid package which was far from what my family could provide. 
I am filing an appeal but I don’t know where that can get me. The past months have been this extreme rollercoaster of emotions and honestly I am surprised at myself that I still have the power to be hopeful (it’s somehow nice).

That’s awesome! I haven’t received any financial aid yet though, probably because I haven’t submitted my parents W2’s. Anyways if you don’t mind me asking, how do you file an appeal?
I sent them out a long email explaining my situation and continued heartfelt interest. The told me that there is a formal appeal process and redirected me to that by sending me some forms to fill out.
Just got an email offering me a spot in the Class of 2020!!!
