International student from Brazil. 1st one in my Class, very awesome honors (Intel isef, Harvard award for my research,…) and EC. ACT composite - 29. However, I need a huge financial support. I received a lot of letters from Hamilton. Did they also send you letters?
I am so afraid…
@merc81 The website states they are need-blind for citizens but need-aware for international students.
How much long before they release the decisions?
3 hours
Re #41: Hamilton admission is in fact need-aware for international applicants. In terms of their students, Hamilton treats those of domestic and international origin equally regarding need-based financial aid. The information pertains differently to different people.
I am sorry but could not understand exactly. If you mean in term of admissions, how could they be treated equally and Hamilton is need-blind for one and need-aware for the other?
@MYAHMQ: Stated differently, once applicants are accepted, they are treated equally. Tonight, of course, posters are mostly concerned about getting accepted, which is indeed based on various, differing criteria.
@merc81 Yeah agree. Nobody can argue against you in this point.
@MYAHMQ: Wishing you luck at Hamilton and your other schools of interest.
…I accidentally thought Hamilton decisions would come out at 7…welp another hour of waiting
I am so stressed out even though I know the answer is completely out of my control… aaaah 36 more minutes
Accepted! Surprised but super happy.
Accepted as a College Scholar!
Waitlisted in NY. Meh, whatever.
@goldy410 eeyyyyyy it’s goldy. What’s up?
@MattFoo Not much bro. Sucks you got waitlisted…
@goldy410 nah, its no big deal. I got other options too haha.
is anyone else’s portals not loading?
Yup me
After being deferred ED, I was accepted… in January 2017. GPA: 90.18 ACT 36
I’m so confused I feel like they really don’t want me but my incessant emailing has made them reluctantly give me a spot. They were my ultimate first choice but now I’m getting turned off by this decision to be perfectly honest. I got into Colgate (Fall 2016, in case you were wondering) so maybe that’s the better option. Sorry for the mini rant/being salty. That’s just the way I’m feeling.
After being deferred in ED2, I got waitlisted. Sucks because Hamilton is my first choice
