what is the typical social scene like at hamilton? does it involve a lot of ppl just partying like crazy and drinking insanely?? if im not a person who drinks, will i feel very out of place and uncomfortable at hamilton?

i know someone who is there right now who never drank in high school, never went to parties, and could not stand being around alcohol ...and is now joining a frat, parties every weekend and got sick one weekend from over drinking.
hope this helps, but you should talk to someone already there, good luck!

Here it is: get ready: the fact everyone will either hear or learn: every single college in this nation is ridden with alcohol. Hamilton is absolutely no exception. The drinking culture here is big, sure, BUT what I think makes Hamilton unique is that the social life is tremendously inclusive. Anyone can go to any party, no questions asked-- all the larger parties (usually two to three a weekend) are held in campus buildings (bundy dining hall, the annex, the hub, ELS, etc.). If you choose not to drink, awesome. If you choose to show up ****faced and only get worse, fantastic. It doesn't matter. You will in NO way be stigmatized as a "non-drinker" or anything of that nature. And, to be honest, I know a lot of people who never drank in high school and who came here and loved the social scene so much that now they drink regularly. It's really not a big deal... at all.
