Hamilton vs. Bates?

I know that there is a significant bias on this message board, but will someone suggest the accurate fit for my brother who was accepted to both Hamilton and Bates off of the waitlist yesterday?
He wants to work in Pre-Med, Foreign Language and English.
He wants to live in a non-isolated community and hopes to find a college with alot going on, and a good party scene.

Ugh, this is a tough decision...I go to Colgate, though I was looking on this board because I have a friend who is caught in the same position [but still in the application process].

Bates is definitely more liberal than Hamilton, although Hamilton is not quite as conservative as Colgate and other schools are. Hamilton just built a new science center that is pretty amazing; Al Gore was also just on campus - they have a large endowment that is dedicated exclusively to a speaker's series and thus constantly have amazing speakers on campus. While I am sure they - like Colgate - graduate many people into the world of finance, I have some friends who to Hamilton that are very interested in other pursuits.

Bates is also a great school, definitely has a feeling of being more progressive and liberal oriented [not like Vassar or Wesleyan, however]. I am not sure which programs they have strenght in - but it is a good school. However, as you know, Hamilton is rated higher - while I don't think that should be a deciding factor, it is something to think about. Hamilton's campus is very pretty and the town of Clinton is pretty awesome.

He chose Hamilton!

Alright! Nice choice.
