re: 36
@merc81, no need. I could have been more specific (and less lazy) in the first place. I had looked at Lafayette’s CDS for another thread a few weeks ago, and recalled their SAT/ACT ranges slightly incorrectly. When i posted, i was under the impression that more than 1/4th the campus had a 31 or SAT equivalent. That is still decent, but not as great a percentage as i had in mind.
Yes, if the OP is looking at Econ, Midd and Hamilton are outstanding.
38 Lafayette is in the Patriot League. Patriot League is D1. Or were you being facetious?
I’ve met a few Lafayette trustees and the ones I’ve met have all been connected to Wall Street or Banking. Go figure.
“How do we know Lafayette plays D1 sports? Should we believe this to be accurate? Current? Legitimate?”
Google. http://www.patriotleague.org/sports/2016/6/13/school-bio-patr-school-bio-aboutpl-html.aspx?
My son is a freshman swimmer at Amherst, and today I watched their meet at Middlebury, which was streamed live online. As someone who’s been at A LOT of swim facilities over the last 10+ years I can say that the aquatic center at Middlebury is nothing short of spectacular.
Seconding that. Middlebury’s entire athletic complex is amazing for a school of its size.
@AsleepAtTheWheel It’s the Cat’s Pajamas! Definitely best in the NESCAC by a long shot!
@AsleepAtTheWheel I was at the meet on saturday and you guys crushed us lol
Yes, the entire sports complex is crazy. While waiting for my son to warm down I watched the Ice hockey team play
The rink is as nice as the pool and literally just a few feet from door to door in same building
The fieldhouse completed last year is incredible
@fleishmo6 – We’re out in California, and all the pools out here are outdoors. My son had never swam in an indoor pool until this year. And we absolutely cannot wrap our minds around the fact that a swim meet and an ice hockey game can occur simultaneously on the same campus.
Middlebury deserves a ton of credit for investing in such wonderful athletic facilities.
Finally, regarding Amherst winning big, well, not from my son’s efforts. Much to his dismay he’s a better student than he is a swimmer!
He shouldn’t feel bad. NESCAC may be Division 3 in athletics, but it’s the best Division 3 conference by far.
My son also has not been swimming well
Thank god he is doing well academically
The Nescac does give you the best of both worlds with regards to athletics and academics
