Prospective students and their families may want to know that Hamilton’s surrounding town of Kirkland, which includes Clinton, places among the safest small towns in the nation, with 0 violent crime recorded in a recent year.
Curious as to why they didn’t include the violent crimes that happened on the Hamilton campus? Seems misleading, whether intentional or not.
Hamilton has had some complaints of various offenses, of which the apparent majority have been nonviolent. As these allegations may not have risen to the level of police reports, the Clery information may be consistent with the recorded violent crime rate for Kirkland of 0.0%.
Edited: more precise wording.
I’m not sure what you are saying.
Crime statistics include all reported crimes, regardless of whether an arrest or conviction have been made. No arrest/conviction does not mean no crime occurred.
The sex offenses reported on Hamilton’s campus should be included in any aggregated crime stats of Clinton, or the county, or whatever defined area we are talking about.
It appears you are being speculative. You are venturing into a proclamation of violent crime for allegations involving indeterminate circumstances.
