I didn't omit a single answer on the October SATs, I know I didn't because my OCD kicked in and told me I couldn't (as crazy as that sounds). But according to the score report, I omitted 8 passage-based reading questions. There's no freaking way I would have done that.

I got 50 right, 9 wrong and 8 omitted for a score of 630, should I contact them and tell them there's an error? How much does that hand-scoring thing even cost? It also says I omitted one writing question, which I know I didn't, but I don't care so much about that.

And holy crap I just checked into it, I omitted 5 EASY and 3 MEDIUM! Ahh, I'm flipping out here, I could have gotten a 7something if this didn't happen. Should I email collegeboard or call them? Or what?

My last post somehow ended up on top of your post Elvy, not sure why. But I was asking you about the score verification. $50 is definitely worth it because if it turns out that I did answer those 8 questions, I probably got at least 7 of the 8 right.

hmmm it looks like there isnt anything about verifications except for the prices.. i think there should be some form that you will need to fill out.. so maybe if you email them they will send it to you..

Alright, I figured it out, called up Customer Service, they're going to email me a form to fill out and send back. Thanks for the help Elvy.

The only thing that could have happened other than a scoring error is if I accidentally skipped an entire page, but that would be basically impossible. It would have to be the last page of a section for me to not notice the mistake, and when was the last time you saw the last page of a section have 5 easy, 3 medium and 0 hard questions?

I feel pretty optimistic about this, if I got all 8 right, it could bump me up to maybe 680-700 range.

Thanks a lot. I'll post back whenever I get the updated scores, I doubt you do but do you know how long the score verification process usually takes?

Something you should all be aware of is that incorrectly graded answer sheets are extremely rare. If the College Board discovers two incorrectly graded tests, it conducts an investigation on all scores from that test date.

I understand that incorrectly graded answer sheets are extremely rare, but I know there's no way I would INTENTIONALLY skip 5 easy and 3 medium. Especially on the October test where I wouldn't allow myself to skip questions even if I couldn't narrow down the answers at all. I was literally forcing myself to answer every single question cause I'm a nutjob.

And I posted this before but I'll post it again..

The only thing that could have happened other than a scoring error is if I accidentally skipped an entire page (in the test booklet), but that would be basically impossible. It would have to be the last page of a section for me to not notice the mistake, and when was the last time you saw the last page of a section have 5 easy, 3 medium and 0 hard questions?

The only page that would have 5 easy and 3 medium questions would be the first page after a passage, and there's no way that I could have skipped 8 questions in the test booklet and then also skip the corresponding 8 questions in my answer booklet, I would obviously notice that.

Oh man, I just don't see how it could be anything BUT a scoring error.
