<p>Obviously Stanford is one of the best of the best in engineering, but is it more hands-on or lecture-style learning? Are the classes more "get in groups and mess around with it" or "sit and watch while I explain the principles"?</p>
<p>I'm interested in mechanical if that makes any difference.</p>
