Happy Ending Waitlist Stories

I've seen many happy ending waitlist stories scattered across the board, but I thought it would be better if we could have them all in on place. I've seen this type of thread used in previous years, so this may be a good way to do it. This thread is totally informal, so feel free to discuss the waitlist topic as you please, but note that there is another famous thread that is already dedicated to this topic and has plenty of valuable information.

If you are posting information for anyone who got off of a waitlist, please provide their grade, boarding vs. day, gender, and financial status. Comment away!

And the school, if you will.

I got off Lawrenceville’s wait list as 9th grade, day, FP, male.

Congratulations

For my son, who wants me to post in all relevant threads:
Mercersburg, 9th grade, boarding, male, FA.

The good outcome shows that “being himself” during the interviews was the best approach

@twinsmama That is great news! Does this mean your daughter will still hold out hope for Loomis? I saw on the wait list thread that someone turned down a spot with FA at LC.

@twinsmama That is such great news. I felt like you kind of gave up and accepted That compared to many others your kids were in a great position. Wow So happy for you and your son.

Congrats @twinsmama! I bet that feels wonderful- knowing you have a place and are wanted at these schools is such a great award and thought. Now you get to experience all the excitement of paperwork, shopping, planning, new friends, and more! Of course, still holding out hope for your daughter for her first choice as well. Such a blessing and a curse. I’m sure she (and he) will do great wherever she is meant to be!

Congratulations! @twinsmama‌ I was so elated when I read your post. I’m so happy for your son, and I hope something comes through for your daughter as well. Keep the happy stories coming everyone.

Thanks all! We are thrilled. Yes, my daughter would still love to go to Loomis, although her first choice would be to stay with her brother.

Hoping and wishing Loomis does work out for all of you. Does that mean she also applied to Mercersburg?

Daughter got into Pomfret Waitlist. With significant FA. She will be a 9th grade boarder. We are from CT

Are folks hearing from schools over the weekend?

@pdl100‌, Yes, she did.

Daughter got off Cate WL. FP 9th grade boarder. We are in-state.

Any one hear information from Loomis?

I turned down Loomis, FP 10th grade boy, out of state

@ccyen328 The only posts I have seen have been from people turning down Loomis.

Congratulations to those of you coming off the wait list-woo hoo!
