bump please anyone

Your stats look decent, not perfect, but good enough I suppose. Emory is probably a reach and I don't know about many of the other schools.

Now go to my thread and help me out dude and I'll research those other schools and give you some feedback.

Okay I did some research.

Reaches: Providence, Emory, Lehigh

Matches: the rest.

You're "research" isn't very accurate. Providence is a match, average SAT is 1200 and 3.4 gpa. Boston College and Wake Forest are reaches, as is Emory. The rest are probably matches. Lehigh could go either way.

Well FishS, I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't take that much time to research. Also this is an opinion, maybe our opinions are different as to how close he is to getting into certain colleges.

yo man BC is definatly the biggest reach

Duke-

You should get into Providence and university of Georgia, the rest I'd say are reach. I had 1320, 3.8uw, 4.0w, 30ACT, SAT II writing 800, math 650. I had a great essay, very quirky, my GC and AP English teacher loved i; two varsity sports, NHS and Spanish NHS and sick ECs.

I got into Providence,Villanova and UVM, early action. I was deferred from BC as was almost EVERYONE with less than a 1400SAT, it seems they went right by the numbers. I was accepted to Richmond ED2. JMO, I think your only chance at these other schools is to do ED, your GPA is on the low end for all these schools except for Providence and Georgia

How did you apply to three schools early action?

Early action is nonbinding, you can apply to multiple schools except for some like HY that have single choice.

Texasmathwhiz: No need to get upset. "Maybe our opinions are different as to how close he is to getting into certain colleges." Ok, I just can't see how providence would be a reach since he is so much above the average.

Well I didn't think a 3.5 cumulative was that great and 1320 SAT is pretty good but not spectacular.

I agree with tribegirl09, Boston College is exceptionally hard to get into, probably the biggest reach.

I remember talking to this one girl like 3 years ago who said she got like a 1340 on her SAT's but she was working in a jiffy lube....i thought to myself that i would ge no lower than 1400 but heck i was so wrong lol my score is looking to be around 1200-1300 =(..........ya great story huh?

thanks everyone...i appreciate the feedback...but do you all think that 3.5 gpa is really that low for these schools? i mean its unweighted and my school actually does it on a scale of 100. so unweighted it is about a 90 and weighted i would say it is about a 93.

bump bump bump

schools redo the dang gpa and they dont weight scores instead they just check to see that your schedule is rigorous and such with bountiful APs.....3.5 is wut im gonna have by the end of high school and its alright only if you have good ECs and other hooks to get you in....which i see u have lacrosse which is not only cool but good........do u actually play or r u a benchwarmeR?
