Hard data on ILR law school placement?

Does anyone have this? I know they have a list of law schools graduates attend but does anyone have acceptance rates, etc...

Nope. But what is far more important is your own LSAT and GPA.

Law school is ALL about the numbers. Just like in premed, your choice of major is nearly a non-factor.

Law school admissions is about as formulaic as it gets. Outside of the top 3 law schools, your LSAT (and to a lesser degree your GPA) will determine what schools you get into. This is in contrast to med school admissions where there are a variety of factors (MCAT, cumulative GPA, science GPA, personal statement, secondary essays, clinical experience, volunteer experience, research experience, letter of recs, interview, strength of undergrad) that are taken into account.

Don’t forget mood and weather!

If you go to career services or some other office I know that there is a sheet that has complete data on the amount of students that applied to what law school, their gpa, LSAT, and how many got in and with what stats. So it’s pretty much comprehensive. I donno if its for ILR or Cornell as a whole tho. If ur not at Cornell right now u MIGHT be able to find it online or email someone.

I’m not sure if there’s a specific set of data exclusive to ILR kids but this is for Cornell as a whole:

http://www.career.cornell.edu/downloads/Law/PrelawGuide_2008kg.pdf

If you scroll down to the very last page, you can see that we do fairly well. E.g. Columbia Law admitted 31/186 Cornell applicants, Duke Law took 50/147, and Cornell Law took 70/229. There’s no chance in hell that a top 15 med school would accept 70 Cornellians (or even 31 for that matter) in a single entering class.

agreed. this^
