I am a hard of hearing student that does well in school.

I was wondering if American and/or Canadian colleges make professors provide the transcript of lectures to students of my situation as "disabled accommodation," or if it's up to each individual professor, or if it's possible to have a computer program write the transcript automatically as the professor speaks.

Every US college has an office of disability services. You should contact that office at any school you are interested in to see what accommodations they have available. If you visit a school you can also try to make an appointment with the office of disability services and speak to them while you are on campus.

Hi. Agre with Happy1. When you visit colleges make an appointment to see their disabilities office. My boys both are deaf. Some colleges were better than others in that regard. Both my boys ended up attending small LACs and both found smaller classes has been a big advantage.
