hard SAT math problem

For x>2, which off the following expressions is equivalent to the equation below?

3/√x-2 = 2

a) 3=2(x-2)
b) 3=4(x-2)
c) 9=2(x-4)
d) 9=2(x-2)
e) 9=4(x-2)

I have not finished algebra yet and therefore have not learned this, so if possible can you explain your answer? Thanks!

Assuming you mean 3/sqrt(x-2)=2

Then you have
3=2sqrt(x-2)
Square both sides
3^2=2^2(sqrt(x-2))^2
9=4(x-2)
The answer I get is e

I understand now! thanks:) @guineagirl96
