So I haven’t been able to find a college that I love. To describe myself, I am on the chill side of things. I usually surround myself with those who are into art and skateboarding. Yet I do not want to go to an art school but rather one for education. I would also like a college that has a pretty environment. I live in Indiana and I would like to stay not so far away. If you can think of any college let me know!
Please post:
-GPA
-Test scores
-Budget
-Size/social preferences
Earlham? Great academics and a mix of students . You wouldn’t have to define yourself as arrsy or the skateboarder.
Maybe a public lac (http://www.coplac.org/members/) - they tend to be chill.
The closest one to IN would be UI-Springfield.
Indiana U has longboard club.

“…I do not want to go to an art school but rather one for education.”
What do you mean? If you are looking for a place where you can work toward a degree in art education, start with your own teachers and find out where they got their degrees. You don’t need to be “in love” with your college. You need a place that you like enough to be able to spend four years there.
I agree with LAC’s. They tend to be on the chill side and not too cut throat.
I was going to say Earlham, sounds exactly like what you want.
Knox, Beloit would likely work too.
Even though it’s far, check out Eckerd (skate racks by classrooms since so many students skate to class).
For more, you’ll need to provide efc and budget (or parents 'income and college budget) plus stats (GPA, w and uw, test scores)
I’ll also say that you should look at Earlham. When you say you are looking for Education does that mean that you want an education (liberal arts) or you want to be an educator? If you want to be an educator, Earlham has a masters program for teachers. Ohio has a number of good schools as well that likely are not too far. Some things to think about: are you looking for a competitive or cooperative environment? You seem to indicate cooperative which is likely why the previous poster and I mention Earlham. Would you like to be at a school with sororities and fraternities? Are you looking for merit or financial aid?
Generally speaking you should have a number of choices in the midwest. You might look at the “Colleges that Change Lives” website and book and see if that helps your search.
