Hi.
well I have a quick question,
right now im gong to be a freshman in UCSD, I already chose my classes etc,
but after I was chosing them I realized that economics is not what I want, it is too much science oriented and not practical like business.
UCSD doesnt offer anything having to do with business (administration or marketing to be precise) and I want to transfer next year or semester to another school.
Is that possible?
What are my chances of transfering to SDSU, will it matter if I was offered early admission and honor classes as a senior in HS?
or how hard it is to transfer between the UC system?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, transferring is doable. The only two UCs that have full undergrad biz are Cal and Riverside. Irvine is slowly opening a full program, however. But, the essay is critical for transferring within UCs. And, since you haven’t even sat in an Econ lecture yet, it would be darn near impossible to explain why you need to transfer to a more "practical major. But, more importantly, all the UCs are research-oriented, so even biz in Haas will be theoretical.

Transferring into SDSU is always difficult unless you live in their catchment area or attend a local juco. The other Cal States are relatively easy to transfer into in most years – assuming the major has space. Of course, with the state budget the transfer slots might be reduced for next year.

I would think twice about going from UCSD to SDSU. In business, school matters. You are likely to get a much better job in business as an econ major from the better school. I can only see doing this transfer if you want to be an accountant and need the specific classes. Much, much better business recruiting at a UC.
