hard work/smart work vs intelligence?

<p>Yeah, if you got accepted to Cal you have the potential to get any grade you want. I don’t consider myself naturally smart at all, in fact, I was scared to come to Cal because I thought others would intellectually out shine me. The opposite was true however; I am a 4th year and have gotten all A’s only 1 A- and 1 B+ my whole time at Cal. The B+ was only because I was studying for the LSAT and neglected that one class a bit. The key is to work your butt off until you fully understand the material if it means 2 hours or 20 hours.</p>

<p>A little Sakky-style post here - reality says that there are a ton of other students who also have the potential to get any grade they wish. Yet clearly, Berkeley administers many courses where there is just a certain percentage of A’s. Hence, while one may have the potential to understand any material, one does not necessarily have the potential to get any grade, precisely because it is a battle where some people have to lose.</p>

<p>You can get the material but not take the test as well as someone else.</p>
