Which do you think is harder to get into?
Georgetown Emory BC NYU vs UMich UVA UNC
Each individual school would help as well if you think you can put them in order

This has to do with timing too. Get your app into Mich, w/ its rolling decision and it makes all the difference.

UNC (80% in-staters)
Georgetown (almost another ivy and much more difficult to get in)
UVa (known as a public ivy)
Emory (important: need to visit to be seriously considered)
NYU (certain schools are more difficult than others)
UMich (see note above)
BC (a reach for some students, a safety to those applying to to ivies = more applicants)

EASIEST TO GET INTO

UMich OOS
NYU
BC
UVa OOS
UNC OOS
Emory
Georgetown

HARDEST

Thanks
When can I begin to apply for UMich for rolling? I know their EA ends Nov 1st but when can I start applying? Immediately?

Thanks alot teamfrangela… Knowing this, id much rather send an application to UVA and not have to take another SAT2 than to Georgetown and have to take another. Even though both are reaches.

OOS will be getting harder. there is a cap on OOS students(%) and it will be met cuz the schools need OOS money.

Anyone else wanna rank 'em?

NYU before UMich OOS?

I would say the easiest to get into are NYU and BC, followed by Michigan OOS and Emory, followed by UVA OOS, UNC OOS and Georgetown.

You can apply to UMich as of Sept 1. You’re late!

I put G’town as #2 hardest on my list, after UNC, 'cuz my HS has never gotten anyone in, while about a dozen have gotten into G’town (class of 650).

BTW, Emory has a large number of in-staters too, although it’s not a state school.

Crap, I better get going on that Michigan app…

What about Penn, does that fall about where G-town is?
