Hardest and Easiest AP Exam

Easiest: AP Biology - I love biology and wanna pursue a career in it, so studying the information comes easy to me, as dorky as it sounds. :stuck_out_tongue:
Hardest: AP Latin: Vergil - ajklslkjdnvm, nkj I registered an account on this forum just to express my frustration with this course! I’ve done 4-5 years of Latin, and my classmates say I’m the “best” out of the class, and even my teacher thinks I’m the strongest. I take the test this May, and I really wanna get a 5. It’s just a lot of stuff to remember, and our class might not even finish the syllabus. My teacher is amazing at Latin, but he’s taught AP Latin Lit in the past, and this is the first time he’s teaching AP Latin Vergil. No one’s ever gotten a 5 on an AP Latin exam, and I honestly want to be the first. I sound crazy for wanting a 5 on a test with a subject I don’t even want to major in but it’d be awesome to get it. :C

wow, that was a bit of a long rant.

Hardest: AP Chem not very good with all the technicals of each element
Easiest: AP US info comes easy to me bc i love history

Easiest: Psych
Hardest(for me): Statistics - I just took a mock exam two weeks ago, nothing short of a bloodbath.

I just skipped past the last 18 pages, so sue me if my answer matches someone else’s.

Also, someone should put together a list of votes.

Last year: Euro 4, Chem 3
This year (not tested yet): Eng, History, Env. Sci., Calc AB

Easiest: English, Env. Sci
Moderate: Euro, History, Calc AB
Hardest: Chem

I detest Calculus, but that’s partially because I dislike my teacher’s teaching style.
Also, I consider myself an ‘English’-y person.

Other rumors I’ve heard: Bio and Physics are hard, Psychology is easy, very mixed reviews for Stats, Language is hard, Art History is mixed depending on how much one likes it, and Studio Art (while I haven’t heard rumors for this one) looks easy to pass but hard to get a 5 on. (I’m taking that next year, so I looked at sample works online.)

Hardest for me so far: English Lang (I can’t imagine a harder test, except AP Lit)
Easiest for me so far: Psychology, followed by math/science APs

I haven’t taken any yet, but my predictions for May:

Hardest: AP French Lang - I suck at French, basically.
Easiest: AP Calc BC - Our teacher is hard as heck to make the AP seem easy…

I’m also taking AP Bio and APUSH, both of which I’m not worrying excessively over because I have a decent memory  I just lack the motivation sometimes…

Hardest: Physics, Bio, World History
Easiest: Human Geo, US Gov, Env Sci
(though it really depends on your teacher)

The ones I have taken, from HARDEST to EASIEST in my opinion.

It really depends on personal strengths/weaknesses and other circumstances. Was the teacher good or bad? Did you catch senioritis?

-English Lit and Comp (my Achilles’s Heel)
-English Lang and Comp (my weakness)
-US Government (I had senioritis so I did not learn the curriculum very well)
-Chemistry (terrible teacher but I am strong in sciences)
-US History (excellent teacher, did not study at all for exam)
-Calculus BC (excellent teacher, did not study at all for exam)
-Computer Science AB (bad class, bad teacher, learned it on my own and it was easy)
-Computer Science A (bad class but studied on my own and the test was very easy)

I’m a weird person, but I feel like the easiest are AP Phys C and AP Calc BC, while the hardest is AP French Lang (out of the ones that I’m doing). I’m fairly (90%) confident that I’ll get a 5 on AP Phys C, and I’m fairly (99%) confident that I got a 5 on AP Calc BC. But AP French Lang. is kinda iffy for me.

Easiest: AP French (So easy! I went to a French immersion school so that’s probably why)
Hardest: AP Euro (I suck at history)

Easiest - AP English Language/Comp - not any material to memorize excepting a few literary/rhetoric terms.
Hardest - Biology - so much material!! But still doable.
(out of the ones I’m taking)

So far, I’ve taken AP Lang, USH, Gov’t., Calc AB, Lit, and I’m taking chem on tues.

Easiest: Lang. I didn’t study at all and got a 5.
Hardest: out of the ones I’ve taken, Calc. It’s not that the exam was hard, but I just wasn’t prepared for it. I think the material on chem will be harder though.

On average I believe that AP Chemistry is the hardest AP exam there is. I took it last year and got a 3.
I got a 2 on AP English Language :frowning: but I didn’t study. . . (it wasn’t hard, I really didn’t much for it).
I took AP Calculus BC this year and it was easier than what I had expected.

Taken: Physics C, Calculus BC, Computer Science, Biology, English Lit, US History, Statistics

Easiest: Stats
Hardest: Physics

I didn’t think Spanish was that hard (I’m not a native speaker). I’ve gotten 4’s or 5’s on all the practice tests we’ve taken this year.

I think the difficulty of these exams REALLY depends on the AP teacher you have though.

I’ve taken AP Physics C: Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, AP Calculus BC, AP Comp Sci A (no more AB this year), and AP Stat

If I were to define the difficulty of the AP test with regard to how difficult it would be to get a 5, I would say:

Easiest: AP Physics C: Both
Hardest: AP Stat

If I were to rank them on difficulty of material

Easiest: AP Comp Sci A
Hardest: AP Physics C

Although, I enjoy Physics, Calculus, and computer Science, (Statistics is more of a tool that I can use, but there isn’t any reason to enjoy doing it), so I wouldn’t say that any of those were particularly difficult.

Biology is hard…Lots of stuff to bear in mind…

compsci A was so hard for me last year… got a 4 but thats cause i had to self-study it the last month.

To be honest, if you can learn all of the material, AP Biology is VERY easy to get a passing score, much less a 5. It is quite generous on the FRQ; you’ll get points for pretty much anything you write down (within reason). Get ~80% of the MC right and you’ve got a borderline 3/4 already.

AP English is probably the most difficult to get a 4/5. Sure everyone speaks English, but how many can write 3 solid essays in 2 hours? For those of us who are of the math/science breed, English MC questions can get quite confusing when you try to think through them logically… haha. Also, the curve is not very generous AT ALL.

^ Makes me feel so much better (not!) about my decision to take AP English next year…
