thanks mitssu87

There are also undergrads in the Hotel/Tourism Management and Sports Management programs. I know quite a few kids in it, so it's not just for adults

when taking quantitative measures into acct: stern, cas, steinhardt, tisch, gallatin, nursing, social work/scps
character/talent/ability: tisch/gallatin, stern, cas/steinhardt, social work/nursing/scps

scps certainly isn't 'just for adults' as another put it, the school has a great number of students in the hotel management program and sports mgmt, and despite what most people think, your classmates aren't going to be in their thirties.

I thought I’d bump this thread up to ask a question…

My D has probably eliminated Steinhardt from her decision now…was considering voice major. But she felt CAS was the place for her…for philosophy and/or physics. But I JUST heard of Gallatin. I thought it looked sort of “not legit”…yet I’m obviously quite wrong, based on this thread.

My reason for stearing her to CAS, instead of trying to combine music/philosophy/and physics into ONE major at Gallatin (if that’s even POSSIBLE!)…is that there seem to be a lot more scholarships at CAS. I can’t find ANY at Gallatin…am I looking at that correctly? (I’m thinking merit…such as Presidential Honors Scholars…does Gallatin have anything like that?).

Stern is the hardest numbers wise, Tisch is the hardest on soft factors but below CAS and Gallatin in numbers. After Stern & Tisch, its CAS. After CAS, Gallatin, then Steinhardt, then LSP, SCPS, et al.

I think CAS has the biggest range in quality of students (ranging from dumb jocks/sons of rich alumni types to supersmart future MD/Ph.d types). The bottom line is apply to the school you’re are intersted in.

what about silver school for social work - thats what im interested in…

or are u guys talking about grad school…???
