hey is chem ap one of the hardest ap's can someone please rank the hardest ap's??

I know the AP Spanish is supposed to be really hard...like even some native speakers don't get 5's.

I'll just rank the AP tests I've taken based on my opinion: (easiest to hardest)

Calculus BC
Chemistry
Physics C
Latin: Vergil
U.S. History
Art History
European History
Latin Literature

AP Spanish Literature is the HARDEST, even for native speakers.

!!!! californiakid, you must be a genius at math and physics!!!

i think US History is one of the hardest because of the detail and amt of material u have to cover

You can look up the score distribution on the college board website. It shows that the Calculus BC test has 45 % or so score 5, while english comp only 7.5% get 5 and US History is about 9%. I say that means the calculus is the easiest test!
(spanish literature get 12% 5's)

AP Art History is going to be hard.

Spanish Literature is very difficult, and as someone who takes the course, I can say the exam has no relation to the selection, but consists of SAT-Critical Reading style (and level) analysis on excerpts from literary works.

the reason why so many get a 5 on BC is because BC covers little more than AB (the only new part is "C", so to speak), which was likely already taken by BC kids. The other reason is that that fewer people take BC; it is a self-selecting course. However, high schools require that students take english and history, so many more people opt for AP's in those subjects, which dilutes the quality of the students taking english and history. The most difficult AP's are probably physics c, chem, and the languages.

whylion, your thinking is incredibly skewed. At my school, 3 people MAY take the Calc BC while approx. 40 will take the English. That being said, the people talking Calc, Physics etc are more likely to pass it because they tend to be smarter, work harder, and are overall prepared. These tests are not general tests that everybody takes. English, US History, Government, Econ, these are tests that MANY people take. Since only 10% or whatever get 5's, that doesn't mean that it is tougher.

I thought the AP Spanish Language test was hard. And, I have a feeling that the AP Spanish Literature exam will be really hard, which is why I'm not going to take it.

AP French Literature is the hardest.

AP US History is tough. Only because of the amount of material that you need to be well versed in.

this post is kind of ambiguous because different people have different strengths, i mean i think ap us and euro are hardest, but someone might think they're easy... so it's all subjective!
