hardest math section i ever took in my entire life?

I took a mock exam in a place, and it had 4 math sections, the unbelievable "AMC" like grid-in section was terrifying. I usually get 800's but I was forced to skip 3 in this particular section. Would you guys think in a real SAT exam, this grid-in section would be the "experimental" section?

It could very well be an experimental section in a real SAT.

Not necessarily. The “experimental” section (or what I believed to be the experimental section on the march SAT’s) was the one that I was most confident about. I had two-grid in sections, one of which I felt as though I got them all correct, while the other I was forced to omit one. Ideally, I would hope that the section in which I ommited one was the experimental section, although I have a bad feeling that it was not.

CornelHopeful: If you haven’t already, check out the SAT March Math thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/880461-march-sat-math-thread.html</a>) to find out which of the two grid ins was experimental.

indie500: I doubt it. I had an experimental Math section on the March SAT, and I was able to complete every single problem (and I was fairly confident I got them all correct). The section was slightly harder than the other ones (especially due to the final question, which took me a good few minutes to solve) but definitely not as hard as the AMC test.

Well, I don’t know if this helps at all…but in a princeton review diagnostic exam that was administered to my prep class, I got perfect on the experimental section that they had, but I had multiple errors/omits on every other section.

i am not sure if this is consistent with other tests.

On the real SAT, the AMC-like grid in section would most probably be the experimental, if you know math is the experimental. However, don’t be fooled when there are a couple of hard questions. But overall, if the whole section is just too difficult to complete, then it’s probably experimental. But then again, CB might just want to screw you over.
