<p>Sophmore Mechanical engineering student, just thought it would be interesting to hear what graduated/current MEs think is the toughest class in regards to content.</p>
<p>For me, it was Signals Processing and Controls. I don’t necessarily know if the class was really that hard, I just had no interest in it whatsoever so I really only half tried and didn’t learn it as much as I should have. As such, it was hard for me.</p>
<p>Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design, Controls…</p>
<p>I’m more into the thermal sciences side of M.E so this may explain…in other words the hardest classes may be just the ones your not really passionate about. </p>
<p>oh yea calc and Diff EQ kinda sucked…the material makes more sense down the road though</p>

<p>Controls can be made very nastily.</p>
<p>I was a Mech Eng student in the early 1980s. My friends and I used the nicknames, “Thermo Traumatics” and “Fluid Traumatics”… so I gues the chem/dynamics kind of classes bothered us most. But I didn’t much like Boundary Value Problems.</p>
