Hardest Sport?

I have played basketball, football, ran xc and track and the hardest sport for me out of all of them was middle distance track, like 400, 800, and 1600 meter training...

What do you guys think the hardest sport is?

lol, all of them. I’m not very athletic.
But I do like volleyball, tennis, and badminton, though not competitively. :)

hm… i’m actually pretty bad at golf.

I think that horseback riding is really hard. You have to perform well, but also have to try to control something that has a mind of its own.

I really like soccer, tennis and track though.

I think track is the hardest. We’ve had some pretty bad workouts. I’ve had to run three hundred meter hurdles with weighted pants on and we’ve had to pull a sled which is already weighted with an additional 25 pound weight for some three hundreds and if we didn’t finish in time the one we just did wouldn’t count. But i’ve seen the cross country runners and they work out pretty damn hard one time I think they had to run something like 17 fourhundreds in under a certain amount of time and they regularly run like nine miles at a time but all that is something I could NEVER do. I guess thats why I’m a sprinter. :)

That will make you conducive to injury, not faster times.

Back on topic: XC, water polo, and wrestling are easily the hardest HS sports.

For me, pretty much all of them lol. In general, I would say gymnastics.

XC is one of the hardest.

If XC stands for cross country, L0L @ you. That’s such an easy sport.

I think I agree with Warts, gymnastics looks very hard.

Zapz, I would like to know, have you ever ran cross country. If you tell me you ran a 22 min 5k “easy” then fine, but 22min is easy. If you tell me you ran a 16min 5k and say it’s easy you are ********ting us.

Of all the sports I have done, mid distance track is brutal. Especially the 400 and 800.

wrestling… i’ve done xc and track and they were pretty easy(my pr is 17:10) i usually get sub-18 on all my races when i was on the team. i’ve already had a sub 5 min mile and sub 2:19 800, also have 10:13 pr for the 2 mile

wrestling is the hardest sport of all of them. have to maintain weight, forced to starve to maintain weight, etc.

Rowing. Definitely.

I think it depends on who your coach is. if your coach is some crazy hardass marine type person of course its going to be harder than if you just had a nice coach who wasn’t that competitive. But individual sports are typically harder just because you’re alone and it’s all on you and your teammates can’t help you out.

Basketball and Soccer are so easy…
Golf is very hard.
Baseball is pretty hard.
Water polo seems hard aswell.

Out of all the I have played, I would say golf…

Hockey IMO simply because of the obnoxious amount of padding one must wear, the intense physical nature of the sport, and I personally think skating is much tougher than running because you have to use different muscles.

Baseball. Now end this stupid thread. Less than 1% of the population could ever hit a curve ball.

Cross country obviously.
run up and down a hill for hours and then take a three mile recovery run. I am dying…

Any athlete can run cross country. You cannot be serious. That is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Seriously, cross country involves ZERO skill. It is all athleticism.

That may be the worst post I have ever seen on any message board in my life. Good grief.

PrincipalV, Yes, I have run Cross Country. I’m sorry I did it for fun and not for competition. That is why I agree with what hatersunite said.

Wow, the responses on this thread are mindblowingly bad. I’m going to go through each one of them when I get home from work and drill you guys. It is very clear that this board knows nothing about sports.
