I'm debating at whether i should take chem 14C in the fall or winter... I heard he uses straight-scale, something where anything about 85% is an "A"... so even if there were like 10 geniuses in the class, the straight-scale wouldn't go against me, right? i'm not that good in chem... and usually taking a quarter behind has helped me curve wise. thanks.

actually found this on bruinwalk: “with this preset curve, you are no longer “competing” with the rest of the class and everyone is more willing to help, ergo the online discussion board.”

true?

true dat. he never changes the grading for like A+/A/A-, but if your class does poorly, he will adjust it so there are more B’s, C’s, etc.

oh… well i guess i should just take it i guess
