should I ignore the fact that I'm 18 and preorder? :p

^^^

Well I'm 17 but I started reading in 6th grade, I'm not going to just stop and not find out what happens, even if I'm getting a little too old.

My dad reads Harry Potter, and he's 40. shrug

Harry can't die at the end of the series! That would just be horrible! I don't think I'd ever get over it!!!

I think Harry is going to die too, i think its inevitable really.

I think we should expect more from Neville in the next few books too.

Oh and the R/H thing...for sure.

Luna's an intriguing character though; i'm sure she will end up with Neville or something!

i think that harry will kill voldemort and then die right after becuase it required so much energy or magic or whatever the hell he uses. it gonna be one of those overly tragic scenes where there's a clash of the spells vold and potter throw at each other a the same time. lots of lighs and flashing of course. then the both take each others attack. vold dies first, then harry. i think it should end like that. honestly, i really dont even like harry all that much. nothing agaist the character, but other characters seem more interesting. well i hope he dies because that would make the story really interesting, not as predictable, and a lot less cheesy with the whole good over evil crap.

I think Harry was more interesting right at the beginning of the books but as the other characters such as Ron and Hermione have developed they have started to overshadow Harry.

In the last book Harry just kept getting angry all the time and it was irritating, plus there was Cho crying...get a grip woman!

Plus in GOF Hermione said she was going over to Bulgaria with Krum over the summer. Why was there no mention of that in OOP?

Do you think Krum will feature in HBP?

i liked krum! He was this famous, supposedly handsome athlete and Hermione - the 'geek' but not really. and hermione turns beautiful in the something ball.. it's like a cinderella story!

And i liked draco! I kinda wish hermione and draco will get together. I dunno why.. it's like, bad boy and good girl - dunno.. kinda sounds hollywoody in a weird way.

And I didn't like Cho. Girls that cry like 4000 times about boys usually make me dizzy.

And I've never liked Hagrid. The way his accent is spelled out in the book, I've never found it comfortable to read.

I've given up the struggle. I'm pre ordering today :)

i am goooooooooooing to pre-order today as welllllllllllll.

hermione + draco?! after all that mudblood talk?! pssh ahaha

i dont like cho either. she's annoying and overly gurly-girl/emo.

yeah his accent is uncomfortable... i mean, try reading Jim's dialogue! [huck finn] =/

J.K. Rowling has stated in an interview that Draco and Hermione will not end up together. Sorry to disappoint. ;)

(I can't find the exact quote, but it's online somewhere.)

D/H is so wrong!

R/H now thats a good combination.

I absolutely LOVE Harry. I actually get irritated when people complain about him getting angry in the fifth book. Heck, if I were him I would have lost my temper a lot sooner! How many of you have never lost your temper? Plus, the entire wizarding world thought he was out of his mind, the man he looked up to for advice wouldn't look at him for most of the year, a stupid teacher is taking over his school and his home, and then he loses a person he really cared about--I'd be pretty darn upset too! I think Harry is the most complex and intriguing character in the book. He's simply amazing!

I just think J K Rowling over exaggerates his anger sometimes; so it gets a bit tedious.

I feel Harry was more interesting earlier on in the series but thats personal preference.

well lets see. harry's parents got murdererd, his family hates him, he keeps trying to get killed, some people know more about him and his life than he does, hes both famous and infamous, the only family he had that loved him died, and he's going through puberty. yeah he has some reason to be angry.

but hes not really complex. i mean, its just the fact that he has to do with so many unexplained things that makes him interesting. but hes kind of a simple guy. he just wants to know his past and do the right thing.

Then again its his simplicity and the fact that so many people can relate to his quest for the truth that so many people find his character so appealing. He isn't a pretentious character and hes very realistic.

jk rowling faqs

what are the advantages of pre-ordering? do you get them cheaper?

no you just get your hands on the first copies that come out.

What is all the fuss with the harry potter books(never read one)?
