Hartt School Actor Training - How does it compare?

How does the Hartt AT program compare to UNCSA, Rutgers or SUNY?

Is the lack of responses indicating that the Hartt School doesn’t compare in any way to these other programs?

I’m new to this forum so don’t expect much. My daughter has been accepted to the AT program at Hartt for this coming Fall and I’ve been digging to find more detail on the school. All I can say is that when I looked at the Hartt alumni and what they are doing, I was extremely impressed. Hartt alumni are or have recently been on Broadway in Wicked, Book of Mormon, Carol King: Beautiful, On the Town, Gigi on TV is regulars in the Castle series and others. My point is, they are working all over the place in high profile roles, whether MT or AT. We were told when we visited the program that 90% of their “recent grads” are “working in their field in some fashion” which seems to me to be significant. My daughter has not formally accepted at this point but it sounds like a very high probability. I should also emphasize that I am a parent. So take my comments in that context. Her high school musical theater instructor (she goes to a performing arts high school) told her “It is definitely one of the better programs in the country”… I understand the program is true conservatory with a semester studying Shakespeare in London. Given what I’ve dug up on my own, I’m perplexed as to why the program is not better known. That could be because even though The Hartt School is over 90 years old, the AT program is, I think, only 15 to 20 years old. I have no idea if any of this helps you. Probably not. But, it’s what I have found on my own. If anyone else can fill in some blanks, I’d be very appreciative.
