Harvard 2010 applicants!!!!

I'm applying EA.

I've decided to go RD. I don't like this single choice business

are you applying anywhere early?

oh, me? Um, Notre Dame is the only one I can think of.

isn't that binding? lol, binding scares me.....

its not binding, actually. cause thats what im scared of too :)

I'm applying EA. Don't you think it's kinda scary that we'll be competing with each other come November/December? It's kind of ironic actually. But anyway, how do you guys feel about admissions? Confident? Apprehensive? I was just wondering.......

I'm both confident and apprehensive. People keep telling me I have a really good shot--even my counselor, who is really conservative about that sort of thing--but I don't want to get my hopes up or get arrogant about it, so I'm trying to convince myself I need to work harder >>;

I feel exactly the same way as you blandecho... confident AND apprehensive. I mean, I wouldn't be applying to Harvard if I didn't think I had a good shot and if people didn't tell me I did, but still.... everyone says it's a crapshoot... so I'm extremely apprehensive...

It definitely is a crapshoot... so there's absolutely nothing definite for anyone.

hey moni, where in FL do you live?

Attention Floridians:

Florida could get hammered by tropical systems:

DEJA VU with hurricane season getting active in JULY a month early...

Hurricanes symbolize the intensity of the admissions process in a way...

I love the hurricanes..no school.
I live by Tampa, ontolome.
I don't think Im even telling ppl Im applying at Harvard.. not like real ppl I know..I just conveniently skip that one when they ask where Im applying to.

Moni, I do that too...I do not mention Harvard...but a lot of ppl know about my ECs and stuff so they keep telling me I'm gonna get in...esp. when they found out about my going to SSP...which only makes me more apprehensive!

yea, i'm not afraid of bragging on CC because everybody here is amazing, and i need to brag to even mildly stand a chance. with other people i skip the ivies and just mention the smaller lib arts schools.

I'm applying EA, but only because I have no idea where I want to go. I've got competitive (not mind-blowing, but very competitive) stats is all I'll say, and 4x legacy.

this is scary... very very scary....
I mean I look at all our stats and I think: "Wow, she's got a really good chance!" and "Oh my God, I'm sure he's gonna get in"... but there's only a limited number of spaces....

Ok, just to get you all away from the stress for a few seconds. I've got a question. On the supplement, there's only space for you to report 6 AP scores. If, let's say, I have already taken 7, how do I report the odd score out, or should I somehow have to choose which ones to report?

Don't tell them about it, duh.

Or just write it underneath. That's what I did. I wonder what those kids who go to those "take a million APs and get 2s and 3s on all of them" schools are going to do...

I would never have that problem... "Gosh! I've got sooo many good AP scores that I can't even fit them on the paper!" yeah... thats not me.. to me, you have taken a million APs.
