Harvard 2015 Hopefuls

I am probably not the most competitive applicant but I will apply and hope for the best.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Boys and Girls,

This is Lebron coming straight outta freshville bz-town.

Does anyone here like BIG PUN???
i produce rap music

Yeah, I compose classical music (most similar to romantic era) but rarely notate it.

maybe turtle, we gotta fresh out the beats sometimes.
my dream is to be like Dr.Dre.

do you know big pun? add his rap to piano… = better than Mozart or 2Pac combined…

i produce rap music, so hit me up!

Anecdotal evidence that shouldn’t be taken too seriously - only six people I know out of the 25 I know who got in are choosing to go to Harvard. :)

^ I will be choosing Harvard only if I am accepted and YPS all reject me

Another Harvard 2015er here although unlike most applicants it’s definitely not my top choice.

I think the right attitude to take is optimistic yet realistic. Harvard accepted 6.9% of applicants this year, and that figure may even go down a little next year. There are a myriad of qualified individuals, and so much of it is subjective/luck of the draw. WHile there may not be a strong chance that you get in, I think that everyone who does apply should be ready to deal with wither case and just hope for the best. There’s notihing else you can do, really.

But there is quite a lot we 2015ers can do from here until January 1st when we submit applications, so it’s not time for blind hope just yet lol.

Greetings and salutations, fellow Hahvahd Class o’ '15 hopefuls!

Weird way to greet someone, right? Right.

Well, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no language buff. Besides English, Spanish, and Chinese, I’m pretty much useless (linguistics-wise). However, I think most people who have their hearts and minds set on Harvard are most certainly distinguishable in some aspect or another. For example, lebronjames (aka THE KING - yes, I’m a native Clevelander) has his rap-music production and turtle has his piano improvisation. Talented musicians, I salute you.

Me? I play ice hockey, skateboard and drum in a rock band. Gnarly.

So, here’s to everyone in this forum - everyone who is [over]qualified academically, la cr

Great post, Bildungsroman! Unfortunately, I don’t have much qualification and uniqueness other than my passion in humanities and arts
Oh well…

I’m not really distinguishable in any aspect. Just have high objective academic stats + a well rounded application.

Harvard (obviously), MIT, Princeton, Duke, and UNC - Chappel Hill (safety). Good luck to everyone.

I’m on the fence about applying. I love Boston, but I think I need to visit the actual campus to know for sure. And if I get my SATs higher, I might. Hah Go hahhvahhd!

Oh, I guess I’ll mention that I’m a one of a kind urm. Haha! I can speak spanish, french, and some arabic.

Dude, Cambridge is beautiful. I visited over spring break, and was super impressed with Harvard. Give it a visit.

Dude! And there’s the BEST burger place right across from campus!

And if THAT’S not enough of an impetus, then you either must be a vegetarian or neurotic!
Jokes. I’m sure no one’s neurotic here (well, actually, I don’t think anyone can really be sure of something such as that…).

Yeah, I hear the Boston/Cambridge area is awesome. Guess I’ll have to visit it myself in order to find out! :)

I’ll be applying but I don’t have high hopes. We’ll just have to see. I’ll have a zero chance of getting in if I don’t apply so I might as well. ;)

@ Gupi: Haha, I’m willing to bet that that’s the case with almost every other applicant. We’re all in the same boat, so don’t worry!

Well, I attended a local Harvard extravaganza this afternoon and there was actually one individual who received admittance with a 29 on the ACT and SAT Subject Tests scores of 550, 600, and 610.

Ι will apply too!!!I am so excited and thrilled.Harvard is one of my top choices.I wish to get in!:D

Good luck to all of you!!!I wish you the best!!:D

You forgot to mention that his last name is Harvard and he stands to inherit $100M USD on his 18th birthday :)
