Hahaha I’ve basically given up hope on Harvard- but it’s actually fine because now I’m also getting excited about a TON of other schools on my list 
really really really excited, just trying to look to the future. There isn’t much any of us can physically do at this point, and I know waiting sucks but try to find something else to do- suggestions: Non-sew fleece blankets, walking your dog, catching up on your favorite TV show, reading a book, etc. Don’t forget to enjoy your last high school winter break while it lasts
I was deferred, too. Do we have to do anything to reapply or is it automatic?
^^ It’s automatic. Your application will be reviewed again in the RD round. There’s nothing for you to do.
RD applicant here, I just see another thread some years ago, some one was deferred in EA, but got a likely letter in February. Don’t lose hope!

Since you live in a country where Harvard states that no interviews are available, you should not be expecting an interview now.
And if you’ve already has one, you should not expect another one.
To update additional info like new awards to harvard, I should upload them to my application portal, correct?

Yes, if meaningful. Harvard expects that most/all deferred applicants will receive additional awards, so it is unnecessary to update them with every new one receive. If the new award is meaningful, as in mentioned in a newspaper of greater distribution that the local weekly, certainly update them. But to provide them up-to-the-minute updates is more distracting than helpful, IMO. They don’t care that your track team won its conference, as an example.
@skieurope can we email a LOCI with an update rather than upload it through the portal? Or is uploading a document with an update + a paragraph resembling a LOCI better? Thanks!

@skieurope I applied EA and got deferred. My interviewer was really busy and could only do a phone call. I suggested Skype which lasted 9 minutes. It has left me feeling so let down especially since I had great interviews with other universities since. Do you think it would be possible to request another interview?

my mom low key hid this website from me for so long bc she knew I would get obsessive but I discovered it and here I am… deferred which was a bummer, but hoping my mom’s legacy helps? my mom, aunt, uncle, and cousin have all either gone to H undergrad or grad so a lot to live up to. rip. just got rejected from Northeastern too which was a surprise and a bummer but we’ll see what happens
