No, there used to be a separate section that confirmed that you accepted your spot on the waitlist.
I don’t think so? I have a separate tab for “waitlist status” and the “status update”.
For status update, it says “An update to your application was last posted March 26, 2020.”
For waitlist status, it says “You are confirmed to remain on the waiting list”
I remember having that as well before: it went away today. I wish I could send you guys a screenshot, but I guess that means that we are no longer being considered for the waitlist. This either means we are going to receive a wave of emails today notifying us that we are no longer being considered. Since so many of us were seeing it, I do not think we are receiving calls to be honest.

That isn’t fair to say. Maybe put on an extended waitlist, maybe rejected, maybe accepted, or maybe just a technical error. How many of us are seeing it? Also, I feel like it’ll be easier to tell if someone that was accepted is able to tell us what they see. Let’s not look into this too much for better or for worse: until they say anything, we really do not know.

it disappeared on the admission status page, but I can still upload on the application information page. I don’t know if we are referring to different things, but I find it hard to believe that Harvard would give any signs of what is forthcoming without sending updates
Same, I don’t have my “waitlist status” part anymore but I can upload materials in the other tab. However, I did send another update last week to Dean Fitzsimmons and I ended up getting a reply not from him but from an AO and it was CCd to another AO so I thought that meant at least something good but maybe not, who knows

I don’t think this is a good sign considering that 5 of us have this portal change. This just seems like a lot of people. I’m actually quite surprised, because I thought Harvard would maintain most of the list well into the summer in case of summer melt like every other schools hard been doing. I don’t think any other school has released people from the waitlist.
Mine is also gone. From the “Harvard Waitlist 2023 Thread” on reddit, it very likely means we will be receiving rejections today.
For those that the WL status is gone on the portal, it may mean you will get calls today with good news!!! Will keep you in my prayers that it means something good!!!
