… limbo… limbo… limbo…
@limbokid - thank you for the smile
Has anyone’s portal changed? The graphics for mine are entirely different – not sure if this means anything.
@wait2024listh All Slate portals (including schools I turned down or that rejected me) have undergone the same change (lost nearly all styling) for me—Technolutions must be doing something weird.
@wait2024listh - yes, mine completely changed as well then I went back and checked again and now it looks like it used to. When it changed, the graphics were different, but waitlist status and all other information were still there.
looked different for me too but just got back to normal
I guess we all have to wait about 15 more minutes to see if this portal change corresponds with a set of rejections going out,.,…ughhhh
No updates – looks like we’re in it for another week!
graphic changes for the log in screen, however inside portal everything looks the same
Phewwwww!!! Have a great weekend you guys!
Mine didn’t change at all… But last week the link button to my wl letter lost its function for a bit. My guess is they are migrating in batches all of wl data to some review system now. Next Friday 7/24 is gap deadline, so the end of limbo status should be next couple of weeks. Good luck everyone!
My fav limbo dialogue from Inception…
We’re (hopefully) almost at the finish line! Regardless of the result, we should hear something in the next 2 weeks and at least we’ll all get some closure. Good luck everyone and hopefully, we’ll all be in Cambridge in the fall!
90% California schools will be online unless infection improves. Will the rest of the country follow this approach as daily cases surpass 70,000?

was stalking the harvard 2024 facebook group again and saw that the number of members dropped from 1334 to 1308 in one day…
Probably gap year requests, I would guess that most people who requested gap years earlier have already left the group so these might be recent gap year requests. The group also seems small, given the class size is around 1700. Yes many students don’t feel the need to join the FB group but maybe also those considering gap years haven’t joined yet.
I checked the Harvard c/o 2024 Facebook group again, and the number of members is now 1,136.
@Technoblade Still stands at 1308, make sure you’re tracking the official Harvard facebook group.
Are any of you taking GAP years at the current school you are planning to go to? How will you feel if you can’t take one if you got accepted to Harvard?
Personally, I don’t think a gap year is worth it. I’d rather save that year for during university if I was to take a gap year. Most people take gap years to travel or work but this year are very unlikely to be possible given the COVID-19 situation. If I took one, I’d just be bored out of my mind.
