<p>It has the top medical school in California - and one of the top in the USA - and other top grad programs. It is akin to Rockefeller University in having strong grad programs but no undergrads. CalTech - somewhat similarly, is a research university with a tiny undergrad component; such schools are hard to classify.</p>

<p>Do these rankings take into consideration GRad and undergrad?</p>

<p>Because when I think about Berkeley's Undergrad it is not as great as say Yale's, but in terms of Grad., it is better in some aspects.</p>

<p>I don't think Duke should be that high up. Also, I thought Columbia was a better school than Cornell.</p>
