Last Sunday's Boston Globe Magazine had a cover article about stellar hockey playing students chosing Harvard over more hockey-intense schools like Minnesota, BC, BU. While not directly prep-school relevant, I post it here for the hockey parents and students on this site. The teaser was kinda gross: "Got brains? Come bash them in."

I know of a case quite simliar, and I understand the reasoning. I know a very good athelete who chose Harvard over Dartmouth, becuase she would have a much better chance to make a varsity team at harvard, then at a sport savvy school like dartmouth

The student featured in the Globe article, however, had already been signed by the NHL (Montreal Canadiens as a first round pick) so could have been a college star anywhere!
