Harvard beats Yale 7th straight year in regatta

<p>True. Princeton's first IRA win since 1998, after Harvard's heavies took the title the last 3 yrs running!</p>

<p>p'ton beat harvard about three or four times this year alone.</p>

<p>What do you mean... "this year alone?'</p>

<p>Didn't Harvard's heavies win the IRA title the "last three years alone?"</p>

<p>to quote you, yourself: "there you go, living in the past again."</p>

<p>Not only the past, but the future. The JV heavies are off to Henley.</p>

<p>greaet, we should all argue about rowing, the most exciting and most watched college sport =P</p>

<p>^^Well, it certainly is the oldest college sport. Unversities have been competing with each other at rowing since long before football was even invented.</p>

<p>Harvard vs Yale at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, 1852</p>

<p>Until getting this earth-shattering news, I thought regatta was what they stuff in a manicotti.</p>

<p>Ah, ricotta. Very high-fat, but a crucial lasagna ingredient.</p>

<p>hahaha that made me laugh</p>

<p>=D my mother and i made our first noodles with alfredo sauce and broccoli yesterday! xD she thought it was unsanitary if we didn't boil the broccoli first so all the water came out when we put it with the alfredo sauce.. not a pretty sight..</p>

<p>^ <em>felt like sharing a east meets west experience</em> ..</p>

<p>True. Princeton's first IRA win since 1998, after Harvard's heavies took the title the last 3 yrs running!"</p>

<p>actually, Cal won the IRAs this year</p>

<p>on the lightweight side harvard got 2nd place and princeton 3rd</p>

<p>Haha...this thread is nothing if not entertaining...
I went to the regatta...it was great fun. The only thing I really remember is the BU guys with no shirts and "BU" painted on their backs running up and down the river screaming their teammates' names...any of you remember that? Worse...were any of you those guys? Hahaha...it was great.
I actually do like watching rowing, by the way. And I do think Yale is a bit bitter about Harvard, but I know that some of it is from the rivalry thing...it's just...well, I went to the Yale online paper one time to read an article and I was surprised at how many articles about Harvard were quite bitter sounding. I mean, we don't act like Yale's stolen something from us (that's putting it a bit harshly, I realize, but really!).
Anyway...go Crimson! And congrats to Princeton :)</p>

<p>10,000 men of harvard.... la dee da... lol.</p>
