I am a high school junior who recently recieved the Harvard Book Award at my school's awards assembly. What does this award really mean?

Your local Harvard alumni organization has given your high school a book and instructions on finding a recipient for the book. Your school has deemed you the fitting recipient.

Interesting...just curious, what is that really about??

It doesn't mean anything, your school decided who to give it to in your class. Harvard had nothing to do with it. It's not going to get you into Harvard. Every year at my school the Harvard book award recipient has been rejected. But, good job on your accomplishment. It will be like any other prestigious school award on your application.

^ LOL

debate_addict: a book award basically constitutes getting a book that is usually tied to the school (i.e. a book by an alum, a book about that school, etc.) for your achievements/whatever they want to measure in your community.

:o thanks :o

(no comment on my ignorance plz :D)
