Do you think I have a chance of getting in. I know this is an annoying question since everyone asks it. But I think my case is pretty interesting. average SAT but I think pretty unique interests in Extracurricular.

i like how your weighted gpa is a 5.22. i don't think i've seen higher, haha.

Well that wasn't a joke :) I promise

In Broward County Florida, AP courses are weighted 6 points and honors are weighted 5 and regular are weighted 4 points.

So its kinda inflated, but I guess it isn't terrible :)

lol, don't worry webgou, my school has that kind of GPA system. AP classes are on 6 point scale and regular is 5

you have really good chance of getting in... seriously...

Scores: weak
Grades: great
ECs: wonderful

I like the brazilian/iranian thing. That's sweet.

I'd say...scores are pretty low...it's just a matter of if you can compensate enough with your grades fantastic ECs. Make sure your essays and recs are killer.

haha i'm pretty sure i know you from state science fair.
anyway, sick ap scores and really unique ECs, i think today will be a good day for you

Unfortunate, if by academic and ECs, chance = almost zero
Unless, Harvard need a Brazilian/ Iranian on their student body

ur scores aren't low i know people who have gotten into harvard with even lower scores. you do have a decent chance of getting in ...anyway we'll find out the answers in like three hours or so :) good luck!

This is ridiculous 2.5 hours and no response -- Thank you for your replies :)

I appreciate the honesty

For those of you interested in what happened to me. I got flat out rejected. I'm quite sad :( Thank God I did get accepted to Cornell University. Thats where I'll be. I'll join the tae kwon do team and knock out Yale and Harvard students. :) Just kidding.

Thank you all for your support and your advice. I hope you guys are successful in your future endeavors

How was it possible to take that many APs? Dual enrollment, school rules, i want to know please.

Please chance me... I know that's what probably half of CC's asking for, but I don't really want to apply if I totally don't have a chance. Soo, basically, this goes a long way in deciding whether I apply! Please help! Thanks! :)

webgoudarzi, I was so convinced that you'd get accepted. Your ECs were brilliant! But I guess it's just too unpredictable!

You are definitely qualified, but with Harvard you never know. If you want to be in the class of 2012, you should already have been admitted though.

Webgoudarzi---
salam- man ham irani hastam--- and your credentials sound great. I personally would LOVE to go to harvard, but know that I have virtually no chance since my Ec's are extremely weak. any advice from you on how to make your activities shine? i only have 2 more years of hs left!

You're only at the end of your sophomore year? You definitely have a good amount of time to shine.

If you have any interests you're passionate about, it would be great to start actively developing them. Any extracurricular, even "weak" ones can be made unique. Though it's hard to get into specifics since we don't know what you're interested in...

Web, what major did you choose when filling in the applications?

@tuna, what major do you intend to do?
