Hey so any chances or advice would be great
Im going to apply to Harvard (quite a reach, but i'm a legacy with money in the school)

I go to an extremely competitive school in MA

GPA: 3.85 Unweighted, 4.15 Weighted (My freshman year screwed me, but for Junior year i have a 4 Unweighted)
ACT: 33 (I am taking it again and expect to do better)
SAT II: Molecular Biology-710, Math I- 790, US History- 800
AP: Biology-4, US History- 5, Chem- 5, Latin- 5
Other Honors or AP level Courses: World History, Mens Choir (Its really hard to get in to here), Latin, Geometry, Algebra II

ECs:
Varsity Golf (4 years, Captain for 1 year)
Varsity Lacrosse (3 Years, Captain for 2 years, and I'm getting recruited to other ivy schools)
Varsity Hockey (4 years, Captain for 2 years)
My town's youth commission (4 years)
National Honors Society
I work in Mass General Hospital lab, which gets hired to work for major companies like Hersey Chocolate
An extremely competitive Acappella Group
150+ hours of Community Service
National Latin Exam (Gold 3 years)
National Spanish Exam (Gold 1 year)

Some Various other little awards and things but I didn't want to add those right now

Essay: From what people have said, my essay is excellent

Letters of Rec: My Guidance Counselor loves me, I've talked to her on the phone and in person a lot and she knows me well. My 2 teacher letters should be outstanding as well, i chose teachers that i've had for multiple years and that i've talked to before.

It would depend on the amount of money. If your parents give $10K/yr, you'll have a steep uphill battle. If they've given a building or endowed a chair and look like good prospects for big future gifts (yes, the development office will research them), you have high enough stats to get in. For more details, read The Price of Admission by Golden.

And honestly, if you are that connected your connected family member will be in touch with the development office who can give them a much better read than you'll get here.

it's the extra stuff that could get you in. a legacy is a good thing to have, as is the lacrosse recruitment. you seem to have a solid chance. if i were u, i wulda written an amazing essay to lock my chances of acceptance in.

Not trying to be cynical or anything but...
This is Harvard, no one ever knows if they can get in....

Although I do find the multiple language exam golds and sport involvement fairly impressive. GPA and Testing are probably nowhere near the top for harvard though.

Well, nobody is guaranteed admission into Harvard (They rejected Jesus!) but you seem to be in decent shape. Having a legacy that donates money is a plus, as well as the fact that you are being recruited for a sport at other top schools. The ACT is not the best that they've seen, and bringing up by a point or two should help you a lot. As positive as all of this sounds, keep this in mind- it's Harvard. Good luck!

ya you should get in, you have about as good a chance as you can have at Harvard, those test scores are excellent and good ECs, maybe try to take the Math II because the Universities all know that the Math I is easy so the 790 is still a great score, but its not that hard of a test.

As long as your essay is pro status then you should get in

Why do you keeo bumping this thread?
No one can be sure about schools like Harvard.
Therefore, there is no need to post chance threads to them because no one knows if you'll be accepted.
Do you want me to post a fake % that is your chance of getting in to make you feel better?
