Daughter wasted no time...accepted online last night. This morning I cancelled all of our Duke reservations. Time to order a t-shirt or something! Congratulations to everyone, and let's enjoy this moment after quite a rollercoaster ride.

My daughter just accepted on-line. We have only received the snail mail but not yet the fed ex package. We live in South Florida. Needless to say, we are all very happy!

I forgot to mention that on Ivy League Schools the "Harvard class of 2012" Crimson t-shirts are on sale now for $6.99! I ordered 1 for my son and he loves it. What is everyone's major? My son is Government

My son's majoring in Biology. We went to buy Harvard stuff on Sunday since we live so close. I was tempted to buy my husband and I baseball hats that said "Harvard Mom and Harvard Dad", but then thought maybe that's a little too over the top. My son bought a keychain while there since he's been using a Dartmouth one for the last year that his friend had bought him. (Dartmouth was my son's first choice, but then he got rejected, Harvard's now his first choice!) Anyways, when he was picking out the keychain I was thinking he should get the rubbery one instead of the hard plastic one that could break. Well of course he already broke the key chain, so he had to go back to the Dartmouth one. lol

Oh wow, I agree with believer, it's nice to know that I can contact someone so close incase of any type of major problem in Cambridge. We live in Calif so I always worry about things like earthquakes (I know you don't have those in MA), big city fires, etc.

No, my son isn't going to do any of the pre-orientations programs.

It would be nice if you both and anyone else from CC would like to meet during freshmen move-in weekend. I thought there was a dad who was trying to organize a lunch or something at Annenberg Hall one day. Anyway, best of luck to you all and I'm so happy for all of your families.

At my son's school on May 1st (decision day) all the seniors wore their t-shirts from the school they have decided to attend. It was quite a site. Everyone was so excited about their choice. It didn't matter where they were attending, just the pride that each child had was priceless!

That's so cool about the wearing of the t-shirts.

Yup, I'm right up the road from Harvard in case of emergency.

It's so sad to see all the rejection letters coming in now on the other thread. The kids are all going to really great schools though, so all will be well in the end.

Thanks for posting your info. As far as I know, no one has received their package in the mail yet. Most of us who posted have only received their financial package awards via email. I would also add that so far, everyone has found Harvard's financial awards to be incredibly generous!
