Ok - so my child is a senior still, but from these posts it looks like you all didn’t find out about your aid package until after decision time may have passed for other schools? How did you decide? Also, I am so encouraged to read posts from Christians going to Harvard. I’m reading “Finding God at Harvard” right now and it is very encouraging. I had practically given up on my child even applying there. Also, if anyone could speak to the stats they had to get in - my child: SAT 2330, National Merit SF (so far), 1st in class, normal ECs(president of one club). Any thoughts? Should I post this to another thread? Thanks and congratulations to you guys!

dvk, We are also expats and leave on the 1st for Boston from Europe. Is your son doing FIP? Our D is doing it even though we are American they suggested it for kids who have been to school overseas for a while. I just finished taping her boxes, I agree its a little sad!!! Good luck, maybe we will run into each other!

Hello, I am a Harvard hopeful, I was wondering if the acceptance letter comes in a big envelope or small envelope… just to mentally prepare myself when I get the letter. (I refrained from receiving my decision via e-mail because my hotmail acts funky quite often.)

I checked the option to have an online notification so it came via email on March 31st. Once you click on the subject of that email, you will immediately see the letter (there’s no login necessary). If you choose to wait for the physical letter (which may take longer), it will arrive in a large envelope for acceptances. Good luck :)

Thank You!!! And congratulations!!!

Best of luck nofear101. My son is a freshman at Harvard this year and he was very anxious last year as you are now. Just sit back and relax, the hard work is done. You have obviously worked very hard and now it’s time to see where God has you go. Keep the faith and know that you will go to the place where He wants you to go to.
