To clarify any questions about announcement date (and corroborate what MedSciBud just posted), here is an email I sent to the staff writer about the announcement date she wrote about:
"Ms. Ellis,
Hi! I recently read (and enjoyed, in case you were wondering) your article, “Harvard Admissions Officers Rarely Consider Applicants’ Social Media”, in the Crimson.
Towards the end of the article, you wrote,“The College will announce its first round of admitted students to the Class of 2021 on Dec. 13.” That’s actually not the date I’d heard (15th), so I just wanted to check in with you and see if you could confirm that date for me.
Thanks so much!"
She responded saying:
“This was the date given to me by the Admissions Office.”

Is the decision on the email itself or do we have to log into the student portal to see the decision?
It’ll be in the portal. That way, H can track to see who accessed the decisions.

All I can think about is Tuesday. I know I will most likely be rejected or deferred so I just want to get it over with. I am really praying for all of you. I love you all. I wish we could all get in together. Maybe we can. I can’t focus on anything else. Time has come to a crawl and these next 6 days will feel like a year.

@SummerSearching I feel the same way… I should be working on other college applications but I have no motivation to…
@samasaurus I keep checking the portal even though I know the decisions aren’t out yet lol
@skieurope It’s obviously more than an opinion if you’re willing to support it 99.9% One doesn’t simply speculate something 99.9% true with no basis. 
Guys - no one here belongs to the adcomm of H, so there is no certain way to know it. I believe @skieurope was letting us know through the comment that (a) there is nothing we can do about it, (b) there is nothing we gain by knowing whether or not they have already made the decisions, and © we should wait till results are released to know our status.
