@jamieevren1210 I am the student from Taiwan applying to Harvard and I hope both of us get in! If not, I’ll join you in NTU next year. What part of NTU made you unsatisfied? Cause my seniors said its a good place.
Anyone down to record their reactions on decision time? I feel like it’ll be a nice memory to cherish regardless of the decision you get.

It’s not that NTU isn’t a good school. It’s just that the place isn’t very diverse. I grew up in Taipei and NTU is in Taipei, 30 minutes from home in fact. The foreigners tend to clump together in their own cliques and don’t usually mingle with the locals. Plus I’m a TFG graduate and there are loads of my classmates/people I know here.

Anyone else here compulsively check the portal, despite knowing full well that no decision will be there? The waiting is torturous.
Looking back, there were so many flaws in my app (i.e. not clarifying what the acronym for my local state uni stood for, accidentally putting an ELA instead of a Writing Test like @pocrocodro did, and having to upload to additional activities that started the week after submitting) that I don’t think Harvard would take someone like me hahahah.
Anyone know of any software that’s good for recording desktop image and your audio-kinda like what you see on YouTube video tutorials? I wont have someone to record me unfortunately.
@krauser126 I use SnagIt (free trial available) for my YouTube videos, which is what Sal Khan of Khan Academy uses for his! Also, if you’re in a generous mood, check out my YT channel AstroTeen (only one video, but it’s a nice and long one!)

@fedfan1998 I made a ton of mistakes on my application as well. From typos and grammatical errors in my Additional Comments section to repeating the word “and” in my activities section. Don’t worry, I think that they know we are simply humans.
