Does Harvard also release their decisions at 5 pm EST on March 28 like Yale, or is it like Columbia at 7 pm EST?
@ctgirl2019 i thought all ivies come out 7PM est
@ctgirl2019: By ivy league conference rules, all eight ivy league schools release decisions on the same day. So yes, Harvard will release decisions just like Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown and UPenn on March 28th. The actual time those decisions are released are up to individual schools.
@gibby I knew it was March 28, but I did not know historically at what time Harvard tends to release its decisions. At what time were they released last year?
@kerlykerls I thought Yale was 5 pm EST, but I could be wrong. That’s when they released their REA decisions in December.
@ctgirl2019 Idk about last year but I was an EA applicant and it was released at 7pm EST. However, it sounds like RD will be released at the same time as the rest of the Ivies, and idk if they tend to release at a different time or not.
@ctgirl2019 Looking at past threads it was 7pm EST last year. It also looks like a thread on Reddit re: decision release times says Ivy Day decisions will be released at 7pm EST, but I don’t know for sure if that’s from a statement by one of the schools or just historical precedent.
FWIW: Ivy League Conference Rules stipulate a common DATE not a common TIME. As such, do NOT expect every school to release decisions at the same time. For example, some years Yale has released decisions around 4pm EST, while Harvard has done so around 5:30pm EST: https://admissions.dartmouth.edu/glossary-term/ivy-league-agreement
Oops, sorry for the wrong info on the common time thing, I must have misinterpreted what I’d seen previously @gibby @ctgirl2019
@kerlykerls Yes… Even my FA section has disappeared!
So far, how many Ivy schools have sent emails to notify their result time?
@love2cheeses AO contacted them after my interview. I didn’t know they would contact my school, until teacher told me he had an interview
UPenn, Dartmouth has, idk about Columbia and Princeton, Yale had it on their portal all along, and harvard hasnt. Cornell updates their portal with a letter there.
But I’m sure that the letters werent received by everyone or I may have not received some. IDK.
Columbia and Princeton have sent emails…
@David5700044 interesting, did the AO ask you about those specific activities in your interview before they called the school?
Thank you
@kerlykerls @whatsmypassword Where was the FA stuff on the portal before? I know there was something on there before and I don’t currently see anything about financial aid there, but I was trying to remember where it was before so I knew I was checking the right area.
It was there below verify address
Its gone now everyone.
These are the final days left.
Thanks @whatsmypassword . Yeah it’s definitely gone for me and replaced by the previously mentioned “if you wish to change your status…” message
Good luck to everyone! Only two days left
