@lilyfullford did you upload your letter on the portal? Or did you send it to your regional admissions officer directly?
@veex actually I mailed it directly to the dean
This is off topic but I’ve heard a few people mention contacting their regional admissions officer and I’m just wondering how people got that contact info? I called the admissions office at one point and was told they didn’t give out that information.
@drumminggeek87 THe email ID can lliterally be found on the ‘regional adm. off’ page for schools. Just hit it in google.
‘Contacting’ doesnt mean by phone call always.
Actually, for Harvard, it can’t “literally” be found on a webpage; as correctly noted, Harvard does not release that information to applicants. If you get accepted, then they will tell you.
To answer @drumminggeek87 's question, Redardless of what any user claims here, or any other site, Harvard prefers you to contact admissions as indicated on the webpage. So in most cases, it will be via general admissions.
Wait, for schools like Dartmouth, UPenn and some other Ivies, If you search up 'Regional Admissions Officers [school name] List" you get the email ID’s and regions of the officers.
I thought it applied to Harvard to. It does not, verified after a google search.
There is a general admissions office email, that hold same context and value under the situation
True, but the question was posed in the Harvard forum. Just because some schools do something does not mean that all schools will.
@skieurope I should be more careful to double check. Apologies.
@lilyfullford What did the letter say? Think nothing into it if it’s just polite words.
@foolgirl Such letters arent supposed to reveal anything at all.
did anyone get an email about Harvard RD decisions coming out? I did not.
@vc_scrubjay Either harvard doesnt at all (mostly this), or my vicious theory is applied to myself (hopefully and logically most likely NOT)
I didn’t receive any email either
I doubt it means anything though. Not saying the protocols are the same everywhere, but I have received emails notifying of decision release dates from schools I have been rejected from.
Anyone know what time tomorrow decisions will be out?
@abcdzyxwvuts 7PM EST
EDT
Would I be able see the Harvard decision on the application portal ? Cornell for example gives instructions to view the decision on third party website.
@CornellCOE The decision will be in a STATUS UPDATE section of the portal. Just click “View Update” and decision will be there.
Logging onto the portal and clicking View Update is just so nerve-wracking. I can literally see the rejection letter in my head and the next second it’s before my eyes.
