Either not enough alumni have volunteered to interview in your region to cover all applicants, or your interviewer or regional interview coordinator is late in getting out interview requests. Also check your spam folder.
Try to relax!
Submitted application in December, have not heard a word from school yet, time to panic?
email the schools @fly4wind
Hey, Is there any way that we can check/speculate our decisions in advanced?
You can speculate all you want, but no, there is no way to check.
I had Harvard interview mid January, same with Brown and UPenn, all were great!. Have not heard from Stanford/Princeton/Yale.
(Intl applicant, legally blind, competed at recent Paralympic Games in South Korea 2018, SAT 1410, Math2 780, GPA 5.00 (max is 5.00).
Good luck to all!
So, we should wait.
Hey @skieurope , a question.
How will the construction of new Allston campus of Harvard SEAS will affect this year’s decisions? Will they admit more STEM majors? specially the research intended ones?
It won’t.
@Cedolino My son had just opposite with you, he had his interviews with Stanford/Princeton/Yale, but not heard anything from Harvard/Brown/UPenn, hopefully, the rotation happens in coming weeks,
My son has not had been invited for his Harvard interview yet either. Penn and Yale are done. A bit of panic is creeping in given most other kids in the area seem to have been interviewed already.
@skieurope is there any way to find out whether a deferral from EA was a soft rejection or still in the RD pool for re-consideration?
@dx2023: If the past is any indication, for 97.7% of deferred students, it’s a soft rejection. See: https://www.boston.com/news/education/2015/12/11/harvard-accepts-record-low-percentage-of-early-applicants
Guys i applied RD to Harvard. I was just wondering, what academic category would the environmental science & public policy concentration fall under? I chose biological sciences on the form but am not sure if that’s entirely appropriate (since my profile is towards environmental studies and not traditional biology). Thanks a lot!
Thank you @gibby
The environmental science and public policy concentration falls under physical sciences.

@StanfordOrBust19 - If you are concerned, don’t hesitate to contact Admissions to discuss.
@StanfordOrBust19 - You don’t declare your concentration (major) until the end of sophomore year. Starting this fall, there will be new general education requirements, so you’ll likely spend your freshman year gaining wide exposure to other disciplines before settling into your concentration. By the time you have to declare, you’ll either have extra confidence in your intended concentration, or an opportunity to choose something else. So, don’t worry if you don’t think you filled out the form correctly. Good luck!
@Homebody13 But if my profile (ECs and essays) fits environmental science & policy, then is it better to update the admissions office or would the academic interest indicated on the form not affect admissions? I realise that I only need to declare at the end of my sophomore year, but I’m more concerned about getting admitted itself. Thanks a lot
@StanfordOrBust19 Harvard does not admit by major. Choosing biological vs physical science will not impact your admissions decision one way or the other
