A couple of my friends got deferred/rejected from Penn too. Wishing you luck tomorrow! What’s meant to be will be
Sorry about that, my response came off harsher than I meant it to. Usually my rant about the test is pretty lighthearted, but unfortunately it came off as really condescending in words. Though yeah, it’s essentially up to the admission officers.
Honestly, getting into Harvard would be great, but college is only really a milestone in my goal. I have an idea of what I want to be and if I don’t get in then it’s not going to stop me.
Though I will be the queen of shade. Like, if I do end up in my desired career, and Harvard’s like, “Hey! Do you want to talk to our students?” All you’ll see on my Twitter feed is, “HAHAHAHAHA” and an article about how I donated a million dollars or something to Yale.
And that’s not a threat, that’s a promise.
I hope the best for everyone tomorrow! Try (I know it’s hard) to get a good rest tonight and just know that if you don’t make it, that doesn’t mean you aren’t incredibly and completely qualified. They have pegs to fill and we all don’t fit. But that doesn’t mean you couldn’t have been one of the pegs.
That’s alright, you didn’t seem cold or threatening. I get your point and what you said is completely valid. In the end of the day, the undergraduate school isn’t as essential, but your future afterwards (like grad school) is a lot more important, obviously.
Hey everyone. What do you make of the fact that they didnt post on twitter and such an announcement when the rea notifications will be sent? I know they did this the previous year and the years before so im kinda scared theyre gonna move the date again.
I wouldn’t worry about the date being extended. The dean of admissions confirmed that they will be released tomorrow, and the date is posted on the Harvard College website. It will appear in a black box in the corner of your screen.
As far as the date not being officially tweeted out, I’m not sure. That’s a mystery to me.
Best of luck to everyone! Can’t believe the day’s about to be here:star_struck:
Good luck everyone. Remember– it’s just one college, which, while an awesome college, is very similar to a lot of colleges. Don’t get your hopes too high just to dash them, and don’t put more weight on this than should be there. That said, get excited! Less than a day away!
Such a good way of putting it! I wish you all the best of luck and hope that you all get some good news tomorrow!
Ahhhhhh I don’t know how I’m going to wait 19 more hours. It’s snowing here on the east coast so I’m probably going to shovel all day to get my mind off of things.
yeah, I got a personality of a “Protagonist” in the test …
It doesn’t matter. It only matters in the adcom’s eyes, so don’t worry about it…
yeah, I am not worrying …
just waiting for the next 10hrs to pass and bring the anxiety to end !!!
me too!
I got protagonist too!!!
Lol i don’t actually think it will help, just joking around
I’m so nervous, two of my really smart friends just got deferred from Yale and I feel like if they didn’t get in then I have no chance at Harvard. But idk. I’m just trying to prepare myself for a deferral.
It’s weird to think that in under 8 1/2 hours we’ll find out our results. It feels kinda weird now that we’re getting so close. It almost doesn’t even feel real.
yeah I am having the same feeling
So just going to have my dinner and then completing an assignment due on Monday.
INTJ is NOT what they profess to be looking for. The INTJ stereotype (and as an INTJ, I think that Meyers-Briggs is all PT Barnumesque BS), is very bright, introverted, and judges. They profess to be looking for very extroverted people who do lots for others in social ways, as opposed to INTJ scientists who actually DO lots for others via, for example, scientific discoveries.
