But what if they just withdrew their application from ed after receiving an admission from REA university?
Mine is same as it was before. Is this really an indication … Gosh I am freaking out !!!
Mines not changed either … I hope it’s not a bad sign. Although it seems weird that like u wouldn’t be able to change ur address even if u were accepted?
Mine s the same, but I can edit by address.
Yeah same, like I can still change my application round and withdraw etc and change any info
What is the other doc in the checklist ^^
I cannot change my application round.
I thought since you applied REA to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford that you were doing the right thing and withdrawing or moving to RD. If you don’t, it will be on yu. They will rescind, because if they didn’t they will be in breach of the ivy agreement. And you will be essentially blacklisted for future college admissions. Gaming the system is a big integrity no-no. You really need to fix this before 7PM.
Their admission to the REA university will be rescinded.
If any of these numbskulls truly did simultaneously apply REA and ED, quite frankly they probably would not be admitted in the first place. How clueless do you have to be to not comprehend ED rules? Generally not the leaders of tomorrow that these schools are seeking.
Sorry another quick question! If someone has a disability, is the disability office brought in to assist with that specific app or is the office brought up to speed afterwards on who the applicants are?
Nobody can, the deadline passed
I think that it is better to honest and say that you were not quite sure of what REA restrictions really mean and that you have already withdrawn all other applications.
I do not believe they are brought into the decision process
Helloo I am an international student from Honduras and planning to major on Economics with a foucus on International Development
Do athletes have a better chance of being admitted? My number one activity on common app is a sport and I have said on my supplemental harvard form that I would be interested in playing it. But I haven’t been recruited, Is it likely that they will give me a high score for athletic category despite the fact I am not a recruited athlete?
I’m pretty sure that if your athletic achievement warranted being admitted for specifically that, you would have already been in contact with the coach for that sport. But if for some reason you have very high athletic achievement, and have not been in contact with the coach for that sport, certainly it couldn’t hurt to reach out to the coach, to see if he/she’s interested in you.
Why are you still asking about this? You are also posting on the Yale thread. You applied to Stanford REA and I don’t understand why are you still asking questions about it as it’s not a mysterious or tricky rule. It was all explained to you after you came her after your Stanford rejection. You had one REA shot which was Stanford so you should have withdrawn from H and Y when you realized that it is “restrictive” early action.
Almost there everyone! Good luck to you all
The Office of Disabilities is NOT involved in admissions. And of course there is no discrimination based on disability. In fact, overcoming an obstacle like that and still excelling is a plus.
The Office of Disabilities does not contact the applicant, before or during application, OR after acceptance. The student should contact them. There would then be a meeting with the student and the student provides documentation.
The O of D then provides letters for the student to give to professors.
No, I don’t have any other document! I was just asking if anyone else’s portal changed. Mine is the exact same, sorry for the confusion.
