Harvard Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

I have been a mod here for 7 years - including the year I was applying to college. Every year someone brings up the source code “trick.” Trust me when I tell you that everyone at Harvard, from admissions to IT, is well aware of it. Absent a Likely Letter, there is nothing that will give you a hint to admissions decisions before April 6.

Yeah, after falling for some portal tricks myself these past few months, I’ve come to realize that these source code tricks are really not indicative of anything. For all we know, the date changes could be caching issues, etc. Also, just want to say all of your comments have been so helpful during this whole process!

guys this is off topic but can you pleas help me out here.

I have recently applied to NYU for Fall 2021 but was rejected. I would like to know (and this goes for any college) can you please explain to me what spring 2022 is? when would I have to start college? cant I apply for spring 2021? Do you know of anyone who’s been admitted to Nyu as through their rolling admissions after April 1st?

we’re already in spring 2021. spring 2022 is after fall 2021

Well, Spring 2021 is now. So you can’t apply for that because it’s happening now. If you are accepted for Spring 2022 then that is when you would start college.

That was real. Of all the “portal” astrology I’ve seen, that’s the only one that was real for everyone. If you tried to go into a certain spot on the portal, you got one of three responses: 1. Unauthorized, 2. a choice to “withdraw my application from future consideration,” or 3. a choice to say “I will not be coming to Berkeley, please withdraw my application” or something close to that. Folks that got #1 were eventually denied, #2 were waitlisted, and #3 were accepted.

so whats summer intake then? are spring 2022 application open for colleges in 2021? can freshman candidates apply for spring or is that only for current college students? I wish my counselor would have told me something about the US education system.

Better to ask on the NYU thread.

Yes, because not all institutions offer a spring semester start.

Harvard being one that does not offer Spring admiisions, so it’s off-topic for this thread.

My apologies i didn’t mean to single out NYU. i just saw their website so that that’s in had in mind. I was just asking generally.

Hello, have yoy seem any deferred applicants got accpeted to Harvard pervious years? I am very nervous because people over reddit say deferred for Harvard is a automtaic rejection. Thank you very very much!

off topic, but can take our minds off of any portal changes. it would be great if you all got into harvard (myself included), but if you’re rejected where do you guys think you’ll most likely attend in the fall?

Just because it is on Reddit - or CC for that matter - does not make it true.

Yes, I have seen deferred applicants be accepted.
