Harvard Ea

Oh man... I don't remember if i gave the Harvard School Report supplement to my conselor! Now I'm going to have to wait until Monday to find out.... Has anyone not given in their recommendation stuff to the school yet?

i mailed off everything today

all thats left is to hope

i hear they give leeway on the teachers/counselors forms, so don't worry if they're a couple days late

what kind of activities do you guys plan to do if you get in? you know, that part on the supplement that asks for your planned activities at harvard

im thinking literary writing and community service, and maybe something ethnic

Does Harvard confirm receipt of your form by letter or by email??

Letter (I just got mine today, and I submitted on the 15th). You can access your "status" page sooner though, if you send an email asking for your PIN (check the "check your status" page for details).

honestly-- do you have a better chance getting in EA than Regular? I really need to know

it depends...generally yes but it hurts for some

I got a letter today too and also my PIN

Hey everyone,
How's it going?
You guys sounds so awesome, it's incredible. :)
I'm finally done with my app, I was so happy ahaha
Tell me about your app experiences! Mine is: really glad it is done.
What are you all majoring in? I'd love to major in chem (wouhoo chem nerd)
Alright... :)

you guys scare me. -.- i'm in bc calc right now.. but then again, most of you ARE intended math/physics majors.. i'm lookin to go into bio. and besides, i really didnt have a choice in math classes.. due to the course flow i couldn't jump ahead or anything, immigrated here in 8th grade. kids here take a test in 5th grade for mathematical ability/potential and classes are accelerated from there -_- harvard adcom will understand this, right? from the school report.. that i've taken all the hardest courses possible and have exhausted the academic opportunities avaliable to me in my school/school system? heh

oh yeah. i'm harvard ea too. =D still havent finished the app tho, gotta do that this weekend.

justice, you consistently amaze me. i've been reading your posts for some time now on these forums.
..care to read over an essay? xD hahaha i totally understand if you dont want to, esp cuz we're both applying to the same school
but i like to think of it as an independent struggle against the harvard adcom, not a competition between each of us applicants

hopefully all of us here will meet next fall at harvard! ^____^

My school doesn't offer anything beyond Calculus AB, and all of its clubs are humanities related and there aren't many of them either. Will schools know that I'm already doing everything I can?

hey i'm applying harvard ea too--i go to NE prep school like some of you i see:
my senior schedule:

ap harmony (music theory)
adv physics combined with multivariate calc(the physics you do after AP physics C) -- co
number theory
creative nonfiction
romanticism and revolution

all beyond ap level except for harmony

Guys, no school is going to reject you for "only" doing calc AB or BC. Doing more advanced math is just a type of "hook" which isn't quite as unique as I thought it might be.

My intended major isn't math, though... I think I put down bio, but i'm really pretty clueless.

Only thing left for me to finish is the essays...

Hope my school/teachers have sent in all the stuff they were supposed to.

My app showed up as "complete" online today... I guess the nervous part now begins.

Well, my interview is today.... On Halloween... Is that a good omen?

hmm mine just says

"All required documents have been received. Thank you"

is that what you mean? i didn't see the word complete on mine.

how was your interview sandman?

seems like everyone doing ea is all about math! lol, thats my least favorite subject.i prob will double in sociology & history and venture into buisness...at least for now!

how many of you filled out stuff in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / EXPLANATION section?

The interview was great! Not the structured interview I was expecting. My alumni asked one real question and we ended up talking about a lot of different subjects.
